Review by JetJagger for BARSKA 10x25 WP Atlantic Monocular (BK7, Blue Lens) Rating: This scope feels solid and well-made. It doesn't have a "cheap" feel to it at all and is reminiscent of military-grade gear. But, that's not the problem. I can only get a clear image up to about 60 yards. After that, I can't seem to get the scope to focus well-enough to remove an annoying blur. It's as if the focus ring isn't able to rotate far enough...or the lens is cheap. If it wasn't for that, I would easily rate this nice little monocular five stars. That being said, it's just fine for viewing things under sixty yards away. Maybe I'm trying to use the scope out of its limitations. If so, then that's my fault.

It's a great little scope that is solid for viewing under sixty yards. Buy something else if you need to see clearly at a greater distance.

I opened the box and tried it when I arrived home, and its obvious the quality control is missing since the monocular is VERY unclear at all focus ranges, effectively rendering it useless. I have ordered a more expensive, hopefully higher quality, scope by another maker. Caution.

Works well for his needs without being too extravagant. Buyer Warning: The description says it comes with a NECK STRAP. It is actually a wrist strap and I am very disappointed as he was looking for one specifically with a neck strap.

The BARSKA 10x25 WP Atlantic Monocular was not our first choice. We juggled with four other potentials, including two high-priced units, until choosing between this one and the Barska Blueline 10x40 Close Focus Monocular.

Because this Barska 10x25 offered waterproofing (which means unlikeliness of fog), along with a lower price, we chose it instead. The 10x40 model does offer better benefits, including the large 40mm objective lens that gathers more light for increased clarity and color fidelity. However, lack of weatherproofing and ruggedness for outdoor enthusiasts like us would prove challenging.

Thus far, we are quite pleased with this purchase, but will be sure to update this Review should our thoughts change in the field.
